Nutritional tip:  Egg whites are good sources of riboflavin also known as vitamin B2 and mineral or serum trace element selenium.  Vitamin B2 is important for normal vision. Riboflavin can’t be destroyed by heat, but it can be lost in water when food is boiled or soaked. That’s why egg whites should be added at last during cooking. Selenium may reduce inflammation which is related to Rheumatoid arthritis.

Heat the olive oil and add the butter, when it melts add chopped onion.

Sauté on medium high temperature, for about 3 minutes,

Add chopped broccoli, sauté for a minute or two.

Pour broth over and let it simmers for a little bit more. When broccoli begins to soften, add spices and chopped garlic.

Cook a little bit more (2 – 3 minutes), turn off the stove and pour beaten egg whites.

Let it cool a bit and serve.
